Yes, I think Torrents would be a good solution to the bandwith problem. I have been trying to download a recording over the weekend but i’m only getting speeds of around 3 kb/s.

I have to agree with Sam Brown on this one. I’m still getting speeds of under 3Kb/s downloading these files (meaning the smallest video still takes almost 12 hours to download). I guess the best way to solve this problem is to build a torrent for these videos – that way everyone shares bandwidth and your bills are split in thousands. It doesn’t take over 10 minutes to create the torrent file and make it available either.

Another option (which I emailed about) is using S3 to put these up in the cloud. That would pretty much solve the problem for everyone as well, although it would still involve paying someone (in this case, Amazon) for the hosting and transfers.

Bittorrent is the way, guys :-)

Unfortunately I am still getting less than 3kb/s in the UK, have been since the launch. Appreciate the effort you are putting in but I have yet haven’t seen a difference.

Would be a great ease on your servers and costs by providing torrents for the big files, hopefully you consider that at some point in the future.

Look forward to seeing these videos at some point soon.
