go to happy valley and marvel at the weird and wonderful rock and metal sculptures (particularly the cock rock because it’s a giant penis and what’s cooler than that?)

have a picnic at waitangi park. trip some skaters. discretely drink booze in a booze ban area.

go to scorching bay. buy some fish n chips from lyall bay and take them to the pier thingee round the bay

have the iona breakfast at iona cafe in dukes arcade. gaze adoringly at the awesome mountain ram painting above the kitchen…….

hey what’s with the anti-northern wellington sentiments? granted you probably wouldn’t take a sight seer to tawa, but it’s a nice place to live.

go to titahi bay and marvel at the places taika waititi filmed eagle vs shark.

visit the tiki shack in jo hubris’ backyard in newtown

pop up to the wind turbine in brooklyn and do a handstand overlooking the lower north island

As someone who has never ventured to your land before, I am forever indebted with these great lists. I do however think I should have set aside an extra week to fit them all in, however I’ll do my best with the two days I have outside of the Town Hall.

Oh, and thanks for all the vegetarian options – as one of those types, I’m planning to eat at all of them!

Vegan/vegetarian Wellington:

-Aunty Mena’s, 165 Cuba St. Cheap and cheerful Malaysian-ish vegan food. I think the only thing that isn’t vegan is the roti

-Chow on Tory St (and Woodward St and Petone) have several vegan options (beggar’s burse, tofu fingers, flat mushrooms, green curry, orange+pistachio+cucumber salad, veg rice paper rolls)

-Midnight Espresso, 178 Cuba St (vegan hash brown stack for brunch, vegan chocolate cake for midnight snack, etc!) They’re open until around 3am

-The buddha bowl at Monsoon Poon is vegan

-Deluxe Cafe, Kent Tce have amazing coffee and VEGAN CUPCAKES amongst other treats

-Commonsense Organics on Wakefield St for groceries
