In fact I'm sure that by attending I am greatly enabled to (a) tee up my next job, and (b) make more money doing it. You may be interested to know that the cost for the main conference is the same as it has been for the previous two Webstock conferences. Webstock has a fantastic lineup of speakers this year (as always), but sadly, as you say, if you're not "working for the man" then the cost is a bit prohibitive, particularly for folks who also need to consider the cost of flights, accomodation, and time away from the job. ‘on ya!
