Matt Haughey is a seasoned expert on communities thanks to his creating and running of MetaFilter.com for the past 12 years, which is recognized as “one of the web’s most successful communities”. He also dabbles in web applications by designing and co-founding the social fuel economy website Fuelly.com.
He was webmaster and programmer for Social Sciences Computing at UCLA and as an employee of Pyra Labs, he participated in the development of early versions of Blogger. From 2002 to 2005, he served as creative director at Creative Commons.
Matt also writes, photographs, and rides bikes for fun.
