Marcin Wichary

Marcin Wichary is a designer and programmer working in San Francisco.

Marcin spent seven years at Google on a variety of projects – from internal tools, search, and Chrome, to the interactive homepage doodles celebrating Pac-Man and Stanisław Lem, among others.

He then worked as a Fellow at Code For America, focusing on improving the technology powering criminal justice in Kentucky, and on bringing street design closer to people via Streetmix.

His most recent work includes Medium, where he focused on product design and typography – and wrote about everything from the design of underlines, through unusual keyboard bugs, to why typography is impossible.

Marcin is currently on a sabbatical, writing a book about the human history of keyboards.

In his spare time, he translates obscure Polish TV shows, goes on road trips, and hosts weird parties.
