Trade Me Jobs is one of New Zealand’s leading job platforms, and we’re proud to connect Kiwi’s with employers country-wide, across all industries. Our Wellington team are in need of a Mobile Lead to manage a team sitting across both mobile and native apps, while also getting stuck into some hands-on Android development yourself. This role would suit a Senior Android Developer with the right attitude, looking for a step into a Lead position.

– Lead and mentor a team mobile develoeprs .
Promote and drive focus on Continuous Delivery.
– Articulate and drive a cohesive strategy across different platforms.
– Work within a high performing squad to deliver amazing products &; experiences for our customers and consumers.
– Build and grow Trade Me Jobs technical leadership within the mobile guild.
– Advocate for technical concerns and make the case for technical investment.
– Manage a team of developers to build top quality software powering Trade Me Jobs, ensuring they have tools and support required to help deliver on business initiatives.
– Act as a consult on any technology initiatives from designing, planning, consulting to execution.

So far so good? What we’re looking for from you is:

– Solid experience in similar roles, displaying an increase in seniority.
– Extensive experience in native Android development is necessary (We are using Kotlin &; Java).
– Understanding of modern Android Architecture Components
– Have an experience with Firebase, Dagger, Fastlane is a bonus
– Leadership experience isn’t necessary, however the right attitude and confidence for this is key – we’ll train you up on the rest.
– You’re a team player who shares ideas, and contributes to team goals and objectives.
– You have the ability to balance leading business outcomes while focusing on technology objectives.
