We currently have an opportunity to join our small team of dedicated professionals working in the emerging area of Self Sovereign Identity (SSI). Our team is working locally and globally to solve some of the challenges of the current Internet model working on solutions that will help people, organisations and things to prove they are who they say they are on in the digital realm.
We are looking for a talented UX Designer to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary product team, working on range of new products and services in the self-sovereign digital identity space. You will be using your experience, curiosity and creativity to research and produce intuitive and thoughtful customer-centred designs.
We would like to see a selection of portfolio work that demonstrates your design process from discovery to implementation.
What you will be doing
Developing intuitive, effective and consistent user experiences
Creating wireframes and rapid-prototypes
Facilitate brainstorm sessions and research studies with customers, stakeholders and internal users for concept generation, concept validation and usability
Collaborating on design experiments with external parties as they explore and adopt digital identity workflows in their own organisations and products
Communicate research results and insights to inform MATTR’s understanding of user needs and expectations
Collaborating with designers, engineers, architects and testers across our product ecosystem
Using and contributing to our design system
Staying informed of the evolving standards in the Digital Identity community
What are the skills needed
3yrs+ professional experience in UX Design/Research
Understands user research methods, when to use them and how to apply them correctly. This may include, but not be limited to: usability testing, user interviews, surveys and competitor analysis.
Experience producing research deliverables such as personas, customer journey maps, etc.
Ability to visualise complex systems to produce user journeys/interaction flows
Expert knowledge of best practice design for web and mobile
Strong knowledge of Android/iOS platform guidelines
Experience conducting user research and reporting insights
Expert knowledge of design tools, such as: Figma, Sketch, InVision
Passion for problem solving and creative thinking
Great written and verbal communication, organisational and multitasking skills.

A team player who is eager to share their findings and contribute to a collective understanding.
Passionate about new technology.
Excellent collaboration skills
Strong presentation skills
