Requirements
You love words. But, more importantly you understand how to build the framework that makes all types of content sing. As a content strategist at Springload, you’ll make sure our products are beautifully written, user-friendly and work seamlessly across multiple channels – not just web.
You’ll be a big picture content champion who’s prepared to pick up the tools and dive deep into the minutiae of microcopy or style guides. Content models? Information architectures? You do those in your sleep. Ampersands? To you – anathema.
While you might be an exceptional writer, your real skill lies in your ability to sell content strategy as an essential requirement for any digital product. Not just to our clients, but also internally. Then create tailored strategies. Like a boss.
You’ll understand content is a design skill and not just words strung together in a (semi-)coherent sentence. You’re comfortable understanding how information architecture, user research, content design, business processes and SEO combine to create products that work.

In this role you’ll:
– Have an understanding of Te Ao Māori
– Partner with our clients to understand their content needs and their customers’ content needs.
– Create content strategies that help our clients plan, create and maintain their content.
– Develop information architectures based on robust user research and understanding of business goals.
– Collaborate with other creatives to plan and develop digital content, style and layout.
– Provide content leadership for Springload’s clients and internal teams through strategy, recommendations and production of content deliverables.
– Establish and promote content strategy guidelines, best practices and standards within Springload and externally.
– Take part in sales work including creating new business pitches and extending existing client relationships.
Who are you?
– An experienced content strategist, with proven experience leading content strategy on successful – projects.
– A deep understanding of customers, their content needs and what motivates them online through excellent user research skills.
– Confident in planning multi-channel content – from websites, to social and even (*gasp*) print.
– Experience in delivering workshops for, and working with, diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced and innovative environment
– Adept at working with clients, a vision for projects, offering expertise and strategy, and knowing how to navigate difficult conversations when necessary.
– Strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
– Strong coaching skills to support and develop content strategy within Springload and with our clients.
– Warmth and authenticity in any interactions, keeping people at the heart of what you do.
– Always showing curiosity and desire to keep growing and learning.
– Commitment to working collaboratively with others in the team, creating a sense of unity and that everyone contributes to the decision making process.
